But so are the bugs!
Rodents absolutely love holiday season. The warmth and food are like a magnet to them, especially when it’s cold outside. Can we blame them? Of course not. But that doesn’t mean we want to welcome them into our homes, either. Here are a few furry pests who might want to crash your holiday festivities.
Maryland winters can be highly unpredictable. Some years, it’s like we’re living in a frozen, snowy wasteland. Other years, it’s like winter in Florida. Depending on the weather and temperatures, the types of bugs you might see in and around your house can vary. For example, in past years, milder winters have resulted in early appearances of stink bugs and odorous house ants.
Now that the weather is cooling down, you’re probably finding yourself digging through the closet to pull out your wool sweaters. And, if you’re like many of us, you’ll notice your sweaters have some small holes in them (at least, we hope they’re small).
It’s October, which means the spooky season has arrived! Many of us love to grab some pumpkins to make fun—or haunting—Jack-o’-lanterns and pumpkin pies from scratch. However, kids aren’t the only ones eager for tasty treats: garden pests love them, too!
